Important Notice
We understand that finding a lost or abandoned animal can be very upsetting. As much as we would like to take in and find a furever home for every stray four legged friend, we are not a shelter and do not provide all the services a proper shelter will be able to provide for these animals.
Pawsitivitea CNY can NOT accept lost or abandoned cats and dogs. If you come across a stray cat or dog please contact your local shelter for proper procedures to safely capture and surrender them. If you would like to get in contact with a trusted organization we highly recommend you contact one of the of shelters below in the "Our Rescues" section.

Our Rescues
We work with a growing list of local rescues and shelters to obtain our foster cats & kittens. Below is some quick information about our rescue friends.
Oswego County SPCA
The Oswego County SPCA is an all volunteer, not for profit, no-kill organization, that does not have a shelter and works directly through foster homes. OCSPCA prides themselves on helping the Oswego County communities and the animals who live in them.
**applications MUST be done on a tablet or desktop!**
**cell phones will NOT submit your app properly!**
Wayward Paws
Wayward Paws is a no-kill, cat rescue and adoption organization.
Their mission is to slow the overpopulation of cats through spaying, neutering, fostering, and finding permanent homes for homeless cats and kittens. Founded in 2006, Wayward Paws assists with the rescue, rehab, vetting, and spaying/neutering of homeless cats in the Syracuse, NY area. They serve Madison, Onondaga, Cortland, Cayuga and southern Oswego counties.
The Inconvenient Kitten
"What greater gift than the love of a cat?”
—Charles Dickens
The Inconvenient Kitten is currently on it's way to becoming a 501(c)3 in the Camden NY area, run by Megan Reed. Megan cares for and fosters many types of pets (up to and including an emu named Havoc), and gives their all in any endeavor of saving lives. Once each pet is given the clean bill of health, they become available for adoption! Check out their Facebook page to see who is available!
Completed Adoptions
Here are some of our recent adoptees who have come through our doors and found their forever homes!
Our residents stay until they meet their humans and as they get adopted, we get more friends in. If you stop by for a visit, we have several binders with photos and info bits on all of our adoptees!
In Loving Memory...
Sherman - 4.5.2022
Our resident house panther, cafe protector, Temptations inspector. You came to this place in search of a forever home, but one day I think we both realized that this was your forever home.
Your time with us came to an end too soon, but you made such an impact on everyone you met. A true king of this castle, no one will ever take your place.
You have forever left paw prints on our hearts and our lives. Our humble cafe will continue to celebrate you as you watch over us from above.
Rest well, dear friend. We love you so much.
❤️❤️❤️
Maurice - 3.17.2023
Your time was too soon, but you let me know you were ready, and waited until we were together before you took your last breath at home.
You were home.
You came to the cafe and found a better life out of the dumpsters. It was warm, with lots of food, and lots of love, from humans and felines alike. You were the best Dream Daddy to all the kittens, always greeting visitors, and even though you could be a spicy bastard at times, you took your job seriously as our Court Jester, and second King, after Sherman.
Today you've joined Sherman on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. I'm sure he's put you back in your place, given you a swat for being a jerk, but its all out of love for his Forever Brother.
Sleep peacefully. You're in our hearts forever.
❤️❤️❤️
